Thank you to all the families who came out to celebrate International Women’s Day with Mini BREAKS last Saturday afternoon!

The bright, warm sunshine coming through The Beacon’s big windows really set the tone for this beautiful day – we danced, we moved, we shared, we listened, all to the soundtrack of soulful music by Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Lauryn Hill, Young & Company + more!

Class turnout was AMAZING.

Despite having a full dance floor, our students did quite an exceptional job at using their eyes and ears to watch out for their friends (and avoid bumping into each other) while they got down – we were so proud of them!

Also on Saturday – we were honored to receive a visit from KCTS 9 (PBS – home of CuriousGeorge, what!?), who came to film class for an upcoming episode of their new show, PIE! The episode’s theme is: Things That Make You Go, “Aww…” What is more cute than a floor full of mini b-girls and b-boys dancing their hearts out?! Not too much, we think. 🙂 The episode is set to air on March 28th – keep your eyes peeled! We’ll post the links here as soon as they’re available.
